I found a really good book about peformances to do with sound, film and text in the Emily Carr library, Performa by Roselee Goldberg. It’s a fab colourful book with loads of great artists in it and it goes by exhibition. It has a good write up on White Noise. I think it was more of a case that each artist used a white space for a period of time to do sound work, and wasn’t a group exhibition. It’s really annoying because it has thumbnails of the Jim O’Rourke piece that don’t seem to exist on the internet and I can’t find a dvd of it. Frustrating!
